    Premier League Snooker

Started again last night, any one catch it?

They've got a new format this year, two semi-finals and a final in an evening, so you've got the chance to pick up six points in a week. I can't work out if it is for the best, or whether it's Sky trying to spruce up something that isn't really that successful.

The venues this year are pretty poor and they're trying too hard to make it like the darts. I think they could scrap this really, snooker always will be - for me anyway - on the BBC. It needs to be quiet, yet Sky seem desperate to make it rowdy.

    A shame.

Snooker's stuck in a rut and I'm not sure where they should go with it.

Ronnie wants to ditch the waistcoats, bow ties etc. It definitely suffers for being overly stuffy, but I don't think the rowdy darts route is the answer either. It's a difficult one.

Surely nobody watches Premier League Snooker though?

I used to love snooker as a kid but I think the sad reality is it doesn't really matter what they do with it...it will always be just so damn boring
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I am a fan of snooker - I play fairly regularly and head to the crucible every year ... but I just can't get in to the whole league 'tour'. I tried last night to watch it, but started flicking. They've even got Jimmy White playing ... it's like a last resort.

I think you've just got to accept it for what it is and not try to glamourtise (a word?) it. So in essence, Sky might as well knock it on the head and as for the clobber, I think it would look rather weird to see professional snooker players in casual clothes now!
