Looks like Hopkins made a meal of it really, but could anyone who knows more about boxing than me explain how that is that a TKO?


Edit - apparently he wasn't making a meal of it...

It was announced later Saturday night that Hopkins went to California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was examined by Dr. Sam Thurber, who diagnosed Hopkins with a separation of the acromioclavicular (A-C) joint which connects the collar bone and the shoulder blade.

How a TKO can be called after a tackle is beyond me. Should have been ruled an accidental foul and a no contest/draw.

Fight was at the Staples Center. The California state athletic commission has overturned stoppages before by ruling cuts the result of headbutts rather than punches, so they should be able to overturn this decision. You can't change the title on a call like that.

I just watched this now, stayed away from the result. I thought he was making a meal of it too
