ha ha...hadn't really thought about that to be honest....for some reason, I just think that England are gonna win the 6 nations....despite their retched form in recent times.
there is nothing there to support - San Marino - its plain to see - The only way we can get shot of Staunton and hopefully Deleany is if the pressure is on them to go - Staunton should not have got the job - I've said that all along - Neither should Kerr have got the job - the numpties in the FAI are in dreamland. Its for the sake of our up coming players that we need to get shot of the clowns that are there now if we have any chance in the future and ye it that bad.
But Eth, you know that Delaney ain't going anywhere. He was the main driver behind the implimentation of the Genesis Report (post Saipan).
Lawrenson was correct on Today FM the other evening - Staunton was brought in with the strict mandate to work through a 4-year plan. How could you expect a guy who's never coached/managed before to get it even half right straight away? This doesn't mean it's correct, by the way - I've never liked the idea of Staunton as the national manager - but it may well be the way he keeps his position even after the debacle which is this qualifying round.
Staunton should go now but won't. All things being equal, he should go after the next two qualifying games (at home) - but he won't.
And the FAI are too stingey to pay up for the real McCoy (whoever that might be).
Anyway, the rugby was good.

And when I say 'play Gerrard on the left', I mean on the left
I am in Dubai at the moment so first chance to use internet rocket LOL how stupid do you feel now? SCOTLAND
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06
Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
80 mins: FINAL SCORE Scotland 17-37 Italy
The referee blows the whistle and it's all over. The Italians are in raptures as they clinch their first ever Six Nations away victory.
"It's a sad, day for Scottish rugby."
BBC rugby commentator Andy Nicol
"Italy played some intelligent rugby, they absorbed some pressure, made Scotland give away penalties and Troncon came up with the winning try."
BBC rugby pundit Gregor Townsend
Anyone else other than me and lfc4ever watching this one?
Big game.
I have it on the radio, only turn over when a try is scored, fickle I am when it comes to Rugby, I just can't sit and watch a whole match, drudgery at its best.
However, the historical moment of this match wasn't lost on me, and had to watch right up to kick off.
