          Gone on a bit of a classic boxing match binge today What an era that was for boxing, so many amazing fights, so many amazing fighters, so many amazing characters too and they seemingly never dogged each other.

          The rivalry between Ali and Frazier for instance was fascinating. Those two really hated each other! After Ali was stripped of his titles and boxing licence for his refusal to fight in the Vietnam war Frazier actually petitioned President Nixon to restore Ali's right to box. Ali used to go a bit far as well in his slating off him calling him a gorilla and taking the piss out of him for being thick. This is worth a watch:

                Watched Ali v Frazier part 1 on ESPN Classic the other night. Seen it many times before but it never fails to amaze. What a fight.

                  Aye, Thriller in Manilla was on last night. It's absolutely gripping. The amount of punishment both those blokes took is unbelievable.

                      Joe's left hook at the start of the last round in the first New York fight is IMO the greatest punch ever thrown. Just amazing. It's not often a genius like Clay gets found out but **** me, what a dig!
