Anyone else think DRS played too significant a part in this series? I like it but it really has changed the dynamic of the game IMO.

Well done Pakistan. Great series win!

      By one point mind

Need a massive rethink of the batting line up before Sri Lanka

Strauss also has to be in the firing line he averaged 28.7 in 11 test innings last year, not really started well this year either
I think a new opener is required (my lack of county cricket knowledge doesn't let me say who). Strauss deserves some time given the success he has had, and as a captain, but perhaps needs to be played further down the order, with Morgan missing out. Bell is inconsistent really, he has periods where he scores and periods where he is awful. Pietersen has to stay - he is frustrating, but has the power to win matches within an hour or 2. Left arm spin is like kryptonite to him mind you. Nowt wrong with the bowling attack and loads of depth too. So my line up would be...

      New Opener
      Cook
      Trott
      Pietersen
      Strauss
      Bell/Bopara
      Prior
      Broad
      Swann
      Tremlett
      Anderson

There will be times when we need to play 5 bowlers bringing in Bresnan to play with Swan and Broad still keeps the batting line up pretty long

As for the top order Morgan has to go, he is a one day player

Bell and KP stay in based on last year, although Pieterson does have to sort out this slow left arm problem

For me Strauss has to score some runs against Sri Lanka, if he fails again then his place should be under threat, he cant get into the team just because he is the captain but offers nothing else

Bell has been dropped for the one dayers, Briggs and Buttler called up

        One-day squad to face Pakistan:
Alastair Cook (Essex, capt), James Anderson (Lancashire), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Ravi Bopara (Essex), Tim Bresnan (Yorkshire), Danny Briggs (Hampshire), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Jos Buttler (Somerset), Jade Dernbach (Surrey), Steven Finn (Middlesex), Craig Kieswetter (Somerset), Eoin Morgan (Middlesex), Samit Patel (Nottinghamshire), Kevin Pietersen (Surrey), Graeme Swann (Nottinghamshire), Jonathan Trott (Warwickshire).

        Twenty20 squad to face Pakistan:
Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire, capt), James Anderson (Lancashire), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Ravi Bopara (Essex), Tim Bresnan (Yorkshire), Danny Briggs (Hampshire), Jos Buttler (Somerset), Jade Dernbach (Surrey), Steven Finn (Middlesex), Alex Hales (Nottinghamshire), Craig Kieswetter (Somerset), Eoin Morgan (Middlesex), Samit Patel (Nottinghamshire), Kevin Pietersen (Surrey), Graeme Swann (Nottinghamshire).

Don't understand why Kieswetter has gone down the order.

He's not really done it as an opener, but that is a way down the order... Quite an attacking line up though, wonder what they will get skittled for

I can't remember KP opening very often

Be interesting to see how it goes (Probably ok until he faces slow left arm )

                  - i've sorted sky go on my ipad, we have wireless in work...I am hooked up and can watch this -

i have my ipad, hidden in behind my monitor - so i can see it, and it looks like i am just working/lookin at my monitor - noone else will see it, unless they come right up to my desk and stand behind me...

So should be fun...only issue i have is 'accessibility' to it....if someone does for some reason, decide to walk up behind me, then there is no why i can hide the ipad without making it obvious.

**** you spineless England bottlers. Same old ****e. Order is restored.
You mean 'series' win or not even a single 'test win'

And an interesting change in the Decision Review System today - each team is only allowed one unsuccessful DRS review per innings, rather than two as in Tests.

It must be tempting to open with a slow left arm'er against Pietersen
