really should be a cracking lead into the end of the season.

Hamilton is looking very, very strong at the moment and Alonso is just so consistent it's unreal.

This race should be interesting, usually a safety car at some point, Hamilton really needs to get off the line and away from Maldonado for the first corner!

Maldo is a decent driver but he makes far too many silly mistakes, cuts those out and he could be a real threat to the top names.

Plenty of drivers have speed, but there's more to racing than that. Pastor can't race.

I'm talking historically. There have been all manner of drivers who have been excellent at sticking a lap in but didn't have the all round ability to be one of the best.

From now, Koba, Maldonado, Grosjean, Raikkonen

Others, off the top of my head - Alesi, Villeneuve (both of them), Ralf, JPM, you could even throw in Mansell to that category. As much as we all loved him, he was never one of the elite.

I'm not disagreeing with you, he was awesome, but he wasn't at the same standard as the elite.

If he'd have been at his peak in the mid to late 90's / early 00's, he would have had more than the one title.

****ing hell Maldonado, could have done with him slowing up the pack so Lewis could build a lead. Vettel is the last driver you want chasing in clean air.
