Can't see it going anywhere else but Vettel now, and the podium drive was his championship winner.

That drive won it for him didn't it, fair play to be honest was a great drive, there was some luck involved in it but he still had to do the work.

I still don't think he's on the same level at Alonso or Hamilton for that matter but when he's had the best car he's taken full advantage of it.

Ferrari considering changing Massa's gearbox so Alonso moves up a place and onto the clean side of the grid

smart move from Ferrari there if they decide to do this.

I think Alonso's best chance is Hamilton taking Vettel out on the first corner!

The penalty from the dirty side is supposed to be very severe,at least 2 places off the start lost cos its a new track, less grip than in the wet!

Rumours are that if they do then Red Bull will "find" a problem with Webber's gearbox thus demoting Alonso to the dirty side again

Its seems academic though as it appears you have to be able to prove a fault before you can change it

They've only gone and done it,broke the seal on Massa's gearbox.

Will Red Bull respond in kind!

Don't like this from Ferrari really, whilst I'd prefer Alonso to win the title he should be doing it himself on the track not wrecking Massa's race by pulling this stunt.

Ferrari have a history of this sort of stuff though

NB - I know I said smart move earlier but the more I think about it the less I like this sort of thing going on.

Yeah not a fan of compromising one of your drivers to benefit the other but like you say they have history and its not illegal although you can bet it will be by next season.

It may benefit Massa though if the dirty side is as bad as they say cos he's on the clean side now too

Yeah Ferrari will suck up the bad press they'll receive for this, just have to hope Alonso doesn't get wiped out on the first corner !

I hope Massa has a good race, proper team player there - he's a number 2 driver and I think he's accepted that is going to be his role really.

Unless they get pinged - which they deserve.

Thats not surprising at all. I love all this **** in F1 though, all the machinations and behind the scenes stuff. Far more interesting than the thick ****s in football

The first corner is supposed to be a bit lively isn't it?

Back in the day Massa would have to give his car to Alonso so its nothing new and not just Ferrari.
