Crash wise it looks almost innocuous. Looks like he may have landed on one of the safety poles holding up the netting, or snagged on the netting, maybe broken his neck???

Reminds you of how dangerous a sport skiing can be.

    RIP Nick.

Isn't that the irony that the safety net put there to protect the skiers actually cost him his life..

Definitely, and doesn't look like the sort of fall a skier should be losing his life at the end of. Not that high, fast but not ridiculously fast. He'd have had more chance of survival if he had been allowed to fallen unimpeded. Inquest and re-assessment of safety measures needed.

Travelling at those speeds, ANYTHING is dangerous. What would have happened if he's been a foot to his left and hit the massive post?

He died due to severe neurotrama.

They apparently tried to resuscitate him shortly after the accident but without any success.

You might find this interesting that he was born in Sarajevo in 1983 before the War.

Well, it's not really the classic skiing, its ski-cross which is much more dangerous and also a part of X-games along with other mental adrenaline sports. Still, terrible news, r.i.p.
