Was my thought too. He's been a great player, but this sort of **** is why he's not universally loved. It was all about him, like everything else he's done in his career. The fact they lost to a low ranked side compounds it. He was so preoccupied getting that record in this game that he failed to play team ball.Originally posted by Liverpool View PostMad they stopped the game and had all kinds of bull**** going on rather than wait for the quarter to finish or the end of the game
You can bet your arse MJ would've kept playing and not stopped until they won. Celebrate after."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

He did so everything beyond that is pure conjecture.Originally posted by Scratch View PostPrime MJ, Prime Kobe or Prime LeBron? For me it is MJ everytime. The man was a magician and if he hadn't taken two early retirements I think he'd be ahead of the records....think his ppg is better than most (all?) out there?
One things for sure Jordan and the Bulls never had to compete against a team with comparable talents to 2015 - 2018 Warriors.

It's not even close. Ive watched all their careers from 1990 onwards.Originally posted by Scratch View PostPrime MJ, Prime Kobe or Prime LeBron? For me it is MJ everytime. MJ was not only an excitement machine, who turned the game into a global phenomenon with his hi-light reel plays night after night, he was also one of the best defenders going around, absolutely elite level defence. His will to win was unmatched, he made everyone around him better and didn't need to jack up 30 shots a game to do it. Those 3peat Bulls teams on paper weren't overly special (Pippen aside). They were made up of role players, who had specific jobs and didnt them well.
Kobe is overrated in these GOAT discussions, he was a great player, crazy talented, but he got a lot of help and he was a massive ball hog.
Lebron is a freak of nature, he can do it all, but he has always needed help to win, and like i said earlier, everything is about him. He's cringeworthy at times. As much as i dislike him though, there is no doubting his abilities.
There are loads of great players that don't get included in these discussions enough either. Wilt, Russell, Magic, Bird, Shaq, Olajuwon, Duncan etc - all incredibly talented elite players.
The one i enjoy watching the most now is Jokic. He is absolutely ridiculous. A 7ft playmaking Centre, averaging a triple double, throwing behind the back no look passes to the corners, dribbling the length of the court, all the while looking like the most non-athletic player in the league. And he's a very good chance to win his third straight MVP! Its unheard of

Don't know about that TBH.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostHe did so everything beyond that is pure conjecture.

Those Knicks, Pacers, Jazz, Suns, Sonics and Pistons etc teams back then were fierce. The type of basketball back then was brutal. It's soft as **** now in comparison. You breath on a player and they're at the line shooting two.
The level of defence that got player back then puts current players to shame."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

As i said the Warriors team had an array of talent unlike anything Jordan faced during his career.
Two of the greatest players to play the game and two very able team mates.
That team was winning titles in any and every era.
None of the teams you mentioned are even close to comparable.

I used to watch a lot of basketball in the Bulls heyday and I agree with a lot of what you said. I think you are doing Kerr a bit of a disservice as a role player though. The Suns were v good during the Bulls pomp. I gradually stopped watching it.Originally posted by Harv View PostIt's not even close. Ive watched all their careers from 1990 onwards.

Where do you rate Curry in the GOAT conversations as as good as if not better than some of the guys you mention IMO

The GOAT. Greatest sportsman of all time IMO. What he did was unbelievable. What the Last Dance doc on Netflix if you haven’t already.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1
