Yep, it used to be on odd numbered years. But was delayed due to 9/11. Seems to have been forgotten about with all the Jubilee/Euros/Olympics going on.

I love the Ryder cup the format is brilliant and it always delivers real sporting drama.

Forgot Paul Lawrie had played himself into the Europe team but it looks like Jimenez is going to miss out

we have two wild cards - and i reckon it will be sergio and padraig who get the nod

We're favourites no doubt, but I do think their team looks pretty strong again. Webb Simpson, Jason Dufner and Keegan Bradley are all really good up and coming players. It will also be interesting to see if Woods improves on his usual dismal Ryder Cup performances.

It's team spirit that usually wins it for Europe rather than talent. Until USA can put the egos aside and learn to play as a team I'd always make us favourites.

Potentially could see the follwoing as their 12, that is one strong side!

Woods, Mickleson ,Simpson, Watson, Stricker, Dufner, The Kutch, Bradley Mahan, Zach Johnson, Dustin Johnson and then players like & Fowler & Fuyrk.
