Saw the course on the telly the other day and I'd go as far as saying there is *no* rough?!

Loving the Seve silhouette. And the gear on Sunday will look great

They were saying on the radio yesterday that the US team think they make more birdies than Europe so they have tried to remove the rough in order to give them the best chance.

It's likely to come down to which team putts better (The US also feel they have the better putters)

These greens will be a bit quicker than the ones in Europe so hopefully they can adjust quickly.

I kind of hate how they butcher the course purely to their advantage. It doesn't really seem to be in the spirit of the game at all

I've never noticed us doing it, at least not to the extent the US do. I know we play on Links type courses sometimes, but that's the way the game is played over here. We're not destroying the course to our advantage.

seems very davis cup type of approach by the Americans then, can see why they do it I guess but it takes away from the spirit of the competition

takes the matchplay/tactical element out of it, no laying up or playing safe hoping for an error, just 2 teams trying to **** it as far as possible

shame because these are two great teams and I reckon it could have been even better on a proper risk reward course
