Are you sure you shouldn't be in Slinky's thread?

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

      World Championships Neil? Any good?

      What's been happening?

Arndt won the women's time trial. Pooley got fourth and may retire. A British girl won the junior title.

I don't know what happened in the men's TT so don't tell me. Contador or Martin I expect.

The road races might be fun at the weekend. Boonen looks good but then so do Gilbert and Sagan. In fact it's pretty hard to call.

As I said, Tony Martin. Contador was crap! Maybe he'll be better on Sunday but it's going to be hard for him to win it.

Great ride from Phinney too. He'll win it in the next two or three years surely.

Good ride from Dowsett too. A very respectable 8th.

Oskar Svendsen won the TT for the juniors. They say his oxygen capacity is the highest recorded in Norway.
