Yep still going, looking like it might over run quite a bit.

Was just looking up on the wheelchair rugby which was originally known as 'Murderball'

          Check this out

Watching it while working. They really pack the heats in during the swimming. The next lot were basically diving in as the others finished

                Did you see the cycling?

Sarah Storrie broke the WR just the 72nd time she has done that over 2 sports.

                    Can't get into it

Transfer window stuff is taking far greater priority

She was born without one hand and used to be a swimmer until she got an ear infection.

Whilst she couldn't swim she took up cycling to stay fit and broke a world record in the first 6 months.

She is about 14 secs quicker than the next fastest athlete and was close to qualifying for the able bodied team in the track cycling.

My mate's mate competes in the Paralypics cycling. He had Sarah Storey round his house the other day & reckons she fancies him. Another mate asked him if he would & his reply was "no way, she's got a little gimpy hand". He's an amputee & not the most politically correct of the partcipants in the paras....
                        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Yes, she's an excellent rider. She'd probably have made the Olympic team for any other nation.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

If she is good enough to compete with the able-bodied, why is she taking the place of someone else at the Paralympics? I understand she has the disability. But it doesn't seem to affect her based on what you say.

Is it true some competitors have been kicked out for not being disabled enough?

My missus works with disabled people at a college. Their football team, she says, is full of very much disabled people who barely know the rules, no idea which way they're kicking the ball etc. Apparently most of the teams they face fill their XIs with big, strapping, able-bodied lads who merely have conditions like dyslexia ....you get scores like 48-0 and stuff.

Who can say? It's impossible to assess that.

Besides, she wasn't good enough to compete at the Olympics so, while I get what you're saying, it's a false premise.

Qualification for the Paralympics is dependent on having a disability, but it's doesn't have to be one that hinders you in sporting performance.

The mirror image of cycling for fat people or running for people who aren't very fast or basketball for short people. Their bodies hinder their performance but it's not a disability.
