    Thats a shame with Rasmussen

Danish cyclist Michael Rasmussen admits to 12 years of doping

The Danish cyclist Michael Rasmussen has admitted to 12 years of doping after making a tell-all deal with anti-doping authorities.

Rasmussen said in a televised news conference that he took performance-enhancing drugs between 1998 and 2010, both before and after he served a suspension for evading doping controls.

In 2007, Rasmussen was removed from the Tour de France by his team while leading the overall standings for lying about his whereabouts – information required under anti-doping regulations. He served a two-year suspension between 2007 and 2009.

The revelation comes after American Lance Armstrong admitted he took performance-enhancing drugs during all his seven Tour de France victories, saying he was part of a doping culture in the sport.

Yeah, it's long been rumoured that football players were involved in the scandal which broke, by the way, in 2006.

It's incredible how slow the Spanish have been to do anything about this.
            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

And Rodgers is trying to emulate Barca.

Just read that. Is he hinting that Team Sky are up to no good too?

I think you can safely say he is.

He has a problem with Sky and Wiggins in particular I think

I wonder if this is the reason for doing the OWS and admitting doping, admit to his cheating as long as they don't change their minds and come after him on criminal charges

Lance Armstrong set to avoid charges after confession

Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong is unlikely to face criminal charges, despite his admission that he took performance-enhancing drugs.

Attorney Andre Birotte, who oversaw the federal investigation into Armstrong, said his confession had not yet changed the decision not to prosecute.

"We made a decision on that case a little over a year ago," he said.

Last February, Birotte said his office had closed its investigation into possible crimes by Armstrong.

He added: "Obviously, we've been well aware of the statements that have been made by Mr Armstrong in other media reports. That does not change my view at this time."

Armstrong made the confession that he had taken performance-enhancing drugs during all seven of his Tour de France wins during an interview with Oprah Winfrey last month.

Legal experts said Armstrong exposed himself to possible charges of perjury or obstruction of justice.
