    Sporting event of 2012?

So an almighty year for Britains participating in Sport, but what has been the highlight for you and why? Great Britain at the Olympics, Bradley Wiggins, Andy Murray, GB at the Paralympics, Rory Mcilroy, The Ryder Cup (not exclusively British).... Err, Chelsea winning the CL... City winning the League... to name a few.

I loved the Olympics, especially Mo Farah's two amazing wins. Big Murray fan so the US Open was amazing, and such a phenomenal match in the final too. Wiggins' was a hell of an achievement but my personal preference is probably for the Ryder Cup. I don't think sporting theatre gets any more dramatic than that.

Balls didn't mean to make it a blind poll. I'm interested in seeing who votes for what...

Its Murray for me, to get to the Final of Wimbledon, win the Olympic Gold and then become the first Grand Slam winner in 75 years was awe inspiring. That said, these are an amazing set of sporting achievements that we ar elucky to have witnessed.

Can we have a 'Don't Know' option please?
          Oh I don't know.

Also, Liverpool Winning the Carling Cup seems to be missing.
            Oh I don't know.

tough one really when you think of all the achievements but it's the Ryder Cup for me probably closely followed by Wiggins.

Kenny after the second leg of the semis with City was my favourite Liverpool moment. Enjoyed that more than winning the thing.

Lets be honest, struggling to a draw with Cardiff is hardly the sporting acheivement of the year.
                    *Except Michael, who died.

I missed Jonjo Shelvey winning the LFC Golf Day out as well.

Football stuff can go in other (Chavs winning the CL and Citeh the league), this thread is about real sporting events of 2012

I'm wondering if the Ryder Cup vote is going to be inflated due to it only finishing 12 hours ago...

It is my Sporting Event Of 2012 though. And the 5 years before that too.

I suppose it goes to show how little sport I watch these days. I can barely remember the Olympics already and I didn't watch the other events in the list.

I honestly never thought I would turn out like this. The younger me would be very disappointed.
                            Oh I don't know.

Ok, fair enough. Its not even in my Top 3 Liverpool moments this year.
