You've missed some cracking sport Dom. Footy is ****, everyone knows it. Its only Brendo's young guns giving me any interest at all this year!

Believe it or not, I totally forgot we won a cup when I put the poll together

Ayre on his Harley is number one, isn't it? Real men ride Harleys.

I think Buzzo assumed that when he put the poll together. No need to give it as an option really.
        *Except Michael, who died.

Yeah, I've lost interest in it. Simple as that really.
          Oh I don't know.

            Doing it wrong.

            It's a trophy.

            Oh I don't know.

Is it though? Football for me is about the memories it creates. Like Hollow said, I remember Kenny crying, I remember Luis's first game back after his ban, I remember (Although recently) the performance the other night against West Brom.

However, I totally forgot that we won the Carling Cup

I guess your right about it being a trophy. But, it was a bit limp amongst everything else around that time for the club.

Of course it's subjective, but it's the only trophy we have got since the Gerrard Final, so that is quite important to me. After all the total ****e we have been through in that time, it was practically the only positive achievement on the pitch in five years.

Sure, Kenny's reaction after the semi was a lovely memory, but it's not a sporting event per se in my eyes.
                Oh I don't know.

FFS, blatant poll rigging from Buttso.

Only one option has a description, as if the timing of the poll didn't already do enough to point us in the right direction.

Two options are multisport events which makes any like-for-like comparison impossible and meaningless.

And two options aren't events at all.

What an omnishambles of a cluster****.
                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Predictable bitterness from a golf-hater about the Ryder Cup's domination of the poll
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                      So you picked Wiggins then?

I hadn't even looked at the results when I posted. In fact I still haven't noticed how many votes the golf has got but it's good to have one's predictions confirmed.

Its like being at school again, red pen all over my work

The timing is more down to the fact that that is probably the last major sporting event of the year. I will however run any future poll I submit past you first.

                          I picked Murray.

Got to be the Olympics I'm afraid.

Although Murray and the golf where both excellent.

Golf is winning because it was the best sporting event of 2012

I don't mind golf, but that doesn't look right at all.
