They were saying on TMS earlier that the RR in India is usually 2-3 per over. Where as everywhere else its 4ish per over. So that might have had something to do with it.
    *Except Michael, who died.

I am amazed that India prepared a pitch that did not give a result.

I think Compton will score more freely outside the subcontinent and then in terms of RR he'll probably be fairly equivalent to Strauss. Solid top 3 and then the flair players. Sounds good to me.

Yes if that's what happens then great. I do think he'll do well in NZ, but if he doesn't, and/or he still scores very slowly, then it might need changing.

I hope he does because there is something magical about the fact he is a Compton. Hope he scores a stack of runs

Well earned rest for Jimmy. You could see he gave everything in the final test especially, he had to work hard for his wickets.

I think if all fit then this is our best line-up for these games.

                    Cook
                    Bell
                    Pietersen
                    Morgan
                    Bairstow
                    Kieswetter
                    Patel
                    Bresnan
                    Tredwell
                    Finn

I care so little about the other forms I could barely name a team. Danny Briggs and one or two others - no idea who they are

Briggs is a spinner. From what little I've seen of him he looks decent. Opened the bowling in the warm up for the T20 world cup and did really well, but then was inexplicably dropped.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

                              t20 is under way.

61-1 after 7 overs. Great start from Hales here. Need a big score as India will score runs you feel. Fast outfield and a short boundary.

Setting 158 to win is probably 20 runs short of where we should have been given the start we got.
