The talk on BBC is that Calzaghe is to fight Peter Manfredo.

For those who don't know him - he was the bloke who won the first series of The Contender on the boxing reality tv show. Does this bloke really have the credential to get into the ring with possibly the best pound for pound fighter in the world? Does he hell as like.

Oh - and Warren promises the fight after that will be a mega-fight........... yawn !!

I read that Joe will fight him. For me it's a good ove. He gets to fight a complete ****, who is a popular **** in the states, knock him out and gain some more exposure in the states before fighting Taylor.

Lets not forget that Manfredo was in line for a shot at Taylor before the Ouma fight was made.

It would be a good move for Joe. It would be a fight that he should win quite easily, and given that Manfredo is not a very defensive minded fighter, Joe should look very good against him. It would be an easy way, imho, for Joe to raise his profile with very little risk.


Having said all that, there is only one fight I want to see Calzaghe in though, and that is against Kessler.

WTF is Warren doing? Whilst Hatton (who ****ed Warren off) tops a bill in Las Vegas - Calzaghe is fighting some tosser from the X-Factor !!! (poetic licence used there).

Calzaghe wants to wake up and smell the coffee - he's being used as a meal ticket by Warren - who as usual promises a huge fight for the next fight....... yawn......h:

It's funnier then that, he was knocked out in the first round then was brought back in after somebody got injured, then he got knocked out again in the final.
