But Andy Murray, he really is establishing himself as a great. Huge match in the final - and history beckons if he wins. Noone has ever backed up a 1st slam immediately with a second.

Immense performance. Snapping straight back into it and winning the net point after losing that call showed immense mental strength. hes finally the full package.

However you're selling Chris Hoy a little short. He may be in a less popular sport but hes one of the all time greats at it. Murray's not close to him.

You're right Ewar, I agree. For a nation of lard sandwich munchers, we've produced two amazing talents this last decade. Chris Hoy is at the end of his career and has achieved everything you can in his field, Andy isn't there yet but there's only Chris Hoy ahead of him? Can't think of anyone else.

Was about to say - although obviously he was never a world champion or anything. But I think being the best Scotch footballer of all time is surely enough to make it a holy trinity with Hoy and Muzzington.

Don't think he is in top form tbh. He can definitely play better than he has done.

He's not had to though, he got to the semi's without dropping a set and then won a 5 setter against Federer, that is pretty good form
