    Rafa!!!

    Comment

The golden rule of Est: sooner or later every thread turns into a Rafa thread.
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Same. I know I don't like the way he scowls at his opponent, especially after winning a point. I think he's a nark who wants needle all the time but fakes dignity and sportsmanship at the end.

I see it the other way round, seems a genuinely nice bloke who just wants to win, Nobak does my head in with the "injury" problems that crop up when he's to winning

I realise it's probably quite irrational when it comes to Nadal. Just can't warm to him at all whereas I really like Novak

I find them both annoying. And Federer too. They're all great players, capable of unbelievable brilliance, but I don't like any of them. Murray's annoying too. They all seem egomaniacs but maybe that's inevitable playing an individual sport at the level they do.

Do any of you wonder about whether any of them have doped?

You know it's only cyclists that dope !!

I don't think they have but it's crossed my mind over the years with the fitness levels and stamina of some players, it will be interesting to find out the owners of the blood bags in Spain that they're trying to stop being destroyed.

Fwiw I know Murray and Nadal have spoken out very strongly about those bags being destroyed and what do some have to hide.

It would be thoroughly depressing if those guys got busted. I've said it before but I think those four represent the pinnacle of sport at the moment.

I know Murray has, I didn't know Nadal has too. Of course it's the cycling, and Puerto in particular, that makes me wary; I've seen unbelievable performances in cycling and after a while you realise at least some of them are unbelievable because you really can't believe in them. Not all are though so you have to keep an open mind and give people the benefit of the doubt I guess.

It's unusual to have three of the greatest ever together at any time in any sport. But it's not impossible so it's not really a fair question for me to have raised. Cycling and football have probably, for different reasons, made me cynical. Plus I'm in a **** mood because of this ****ing neverending ****ty cold.

Lets hope Ferrer plays like he has all tournament and makes the final a really tough match.

I fully expect a Nadal win though

Ferrer loses the first 6-3, somewhat inevitably. He's just here for the day out.

The first set was bog average tennis as well, this set so far looks like Nadal is trying to smash him off court as quickly as possible.

Nadals seeding, no Murray and Federer going out meant we were always looking at a gash final.

Aye, the final was on Friday between Nadal and Djok.
