We just need to keep our heads and play percentages

Hard luck Buzzo - ye’ll need to regroup as Samoa and Japan will smell blood. If we played our game and ground you down we would be too strong up front. I’m happy we managed the game and feel we may more in the tank but already a few injuries.

Bonus point a big plus - v happy

We were well beaten today. Congrats to the Irish.

The only crumb of comfort to me was the impact from the bench. I think a lot of the guys who came on will have strong cases for starting the bigger games. Laidlaw provides control but we need the platform to require that and we didn’t get near it today. Price provides pace and momentum it’s time for him to step up and claim the Jerry full time.

Ultimately we will most likely have a massive game to come v the Japanese.

Years of prep went into that **** performance for us

Must admit I was worried about our body language in the build up, we looked nervous Ireland looked relaxed.

Whys this Aussie bloke been sighted for a "dangerous tackle"?

From what i see he runs into a steaming locomotive and tries to grab him but just bounces off him. That Fijian dude is an absolute animal!!

I think you saw his attempt to grab him through Australian eyes

Not really. I couldn't care less who wins. Rugger's not my game at all. I just enjoy watching the Pacific Islanders belt the living snot out of white guys.

But...his arms clearly try to grab the big Fijian as he's bouncing off of him. He's just sent flying with such force that he's got absolutely no chance of holding on. That dude is absolutely massive

The England match was a fairly tedious watch - might not have been if they hadn't dropped the ball 13 times; often in good situations - but fair play to the Tongans for slugging it out and slowing the game down.

On the plus side Manu looked sharp and the back row lads were outstanding.

The Argies will give England a good match but I can't see them winning it. Looks like they had their chance versus France and blew it. All the other groups are on track to meet predictions. Other than England vs France and Wales vs Australia to sort out first and second spot in those groups, it's a matter of getting guys fit and avoiding injuries ahead of the quarter finals and the proper start of the tournament.

France, Argentina and England was the one- I thought the Argies would win in a tight game. I forgot that historically France always go well in the WC although they scrambled over the line

England didn't play well, but showed glimpses. First game though so a pretty standard win after a full on opening 20 from Tonga.

The tournament has gone to form more or less as predicted.

Easily the biggest disappointment in the tournament so far is Scotland. We were abject, the only team to walk away with zero credit after the first matches. I was slightly worried by our body language pre match and that played out. Ireland delivered about as comprehensive a defeat as you will see between tier one nations. Hamish Watson out for the tournament also. He and Sam Skinner will be a big miss.

It can only get better, but I now worry about us v Japan. Some of the old campaigners (Barclay, Wilson, Laidlaw, Seymour) have it all to prove.

Ali Price our for us now also

Means we might see a bit of George Horne who is a real prospect, but not ready for elite level World Cup matches.

Folau is apparently going to play rugby league for Tonga next month. Knew he'd be back playing something at some point soon, Jesus that's the bottom of the barrel. Representing a small country in a **** sport. No doubt he'll be playing union in Europe within a few years for millions.

Your lot v Japan is pretty much the last fixture isn't it?

I reckon it could be a cracker with (potentially) loads to play for and 2 teams who like a quick game.

Should be a really good spectacle - for the neutral
