I really do not understand how Eddie Jones mind works

He leaves out the Simmonds brothers but brings in Jonny Hill

To compound the weird decision to ignore Joe S, he leaves a second 10 out of the match day 23.

Not only does he make the bizarre call to re-instate George Furbank at 15 (a feeble bloke who can't catch a high ball isn't really suited to International rugby IMO), he also has him lined up to play 10 if needed. I haven't played Rugby in decades but I played 10 and having seen GF fill in there for Northampton, I swear I'd make a better fist of it than he will if he's needed.

Then I notice on the subs bench he has the 2 Ollies - Lawrence and Thorley who are both superb prospects

If he has the good sense to pick form players / good prospects like Hill, Lawrence and Thorley, how can he then leave out the Simmonds and pick dog **** like Furbank

    It's ****ing illogical

ABs given the Aussies a bit of a bashing this morning 43-5.

Bit of a yawny first half W v S. Think I might go and do an hour in the garden now it's a bit drier.

England brilliant for 5 minutes then bang average for the next 35.

I don't often agree with Clive Woodward but he's absolutely right to question why we kicked the ball away 22 times in the first half - most of it pointlessly.

Going to be an exciting finish. Sensibly the English bonus point rules out France winning it but Ireland win not out the question. Ireland bonus point win I think is too much to ask without something like a red csrd

Brilliant from Fickou and DuPont. Incredible. I know I'm always having a DuPont wankfest in here but the channels he runs to support are consistently amazing.

Who is the South African commentator? Killed me when he said that Paul Willemse has trimmed down in France because he eats less braaivleis now (barbequed or grilled meat).

Ireland looking pretty good so far.

I have a feeling that the 7 points that we missed out on (2 x cons hitting the posts and the pen in front that was reversed) might actually be the difference between us and Ireland winning the 6N.

Is this a rhetorical question - funnily enough we don't have any SA commentators on the BBC

Not sure which commentary/broadcast we're getting then, assumed it was BBC. It clearly isn't Super Sport. Maybe it's ITV or Virgin Media - he refers to the Irish (I think, sorry Nev if I got the accent wrong) commentator as Robbo - not sure who that is either.

It's (Welshman) Eddie Butler on the Beeb.

That's a thing of beauty. The French defence has been strong and disciplined too, Ireland could have been well ahead.

I'm still holding thumbs that France can get a few more. Delusional, but in sports anything can happpen.

Another try there from the French. They’ve been pretty good this half
