Though Wales were fortunate.
Penalty taken from the right spot and it falls under the bar.
Welsh player got away with being offside
No way Basham was trying to wrap. Smashed the guys head with his shoulder and should have been a card to go with the penalty.
Deliberate knock on seems harsh but not familiar with the rulesFootball without Origi is nothing

Was at friends watching so couldn’t post……. Back home nowOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostIt’s a ridiculously tough tournament. You just have to go one game at a time and see what happens. Away wins decide it and (excluding Italy) there have been none yet.
I fancied France for a few reasons - their power, their depth and their halfbacks. We gifted them about 12 points from really stupid errors which was frustrating.
We hung on and when we had the chance to kick to the corner 6 points down with 10 left they bottled it. Back yourself and if we scored it would’ve been a bonus point try. They smashed us in the scrum, messed up our line out and our ruck was heavily contested. These have been really strong areas for us.
A 6 point loss away to them isn’t the end of the world - they are so powerful + they have bought into the hard work ethic expected by Edwards. Still in the tournament but we’ve England in Twickenham which is another tough ask for us.

Typical game from us yesterday. Wales deserved it, though I feel we let them win.
Finns yellow, technically a yellow. Fine margins. The weather was a factor, I wish they’d play the 6Ns March/April/May. Will be good to see how we bounce back against France we’ve beaten them last out of last 4 6 nations and have not lost at home to them since 2014.
That said, they look the real deal.Modifying post.

I think if you play your game you have a real chance - we played into their hands in the first half by trying to match them physically. Keep moving the point of attack and dint let their big games squeeze you. Their rush defence leaves space out wide so big skip passes from Finn could exploit themOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostTypical game from us yesterday. I for one hope my Celtic brethren win

How did the French go physically? Normally when we have beaten them a combo of them tiring last 20, and/or poor discipline has been really costly for them.
Based on how the score went yesterday that looked to have been a factor.
I think England will be a challenge 100% Tuilagi will be back by the time they play you. I think England ****ed up massively not selecting Danny Care, a. Because he is really good and b. Because he knows how to manage Smith.
They are a head coach change away from being brilliant.Modifying post.

They are huge and a bomb squad off the bench to match….. we struggled in the scrum, especially on Porter’s side - I think he conceded two pens. The line out was a contest for both sides and was scrappy. We hung in and looked fitter at the end - bad decision making cost us but France deserved it.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post

A good test for us and nice to be brought back down to earth - keeps expectations in check. I said it last week it was v conceivable we’d lose this and away to England
