Ireland unlucky to have a try chalked off in first half also. Was good competition in the air.

Jonny Wilkinson claiming England look a bit invincible with ball in hand

England were shocking in that half in terms of the basics, but the Irish looked a different team in terms of intensity compared to the France game

Important try for the English. I’ll never understand why England haven’t built their team around Marcus Smith. Too much flair? Doesn’t kick enough?

    7-22 at HT

Marcus Smith now on at FB, England have made a few tactical first half changes.
    Scrappy match.

I did fancy Ireland today, but didn’t fancy them to be 22-0 up after 30mins

Aye not a sandwich in sight.

Food was excellent. Booze was excellent. While day was an absolute treat.

Ireland v England about to KO. I’ve a sneaky feeling Ireland are going to get a result here. England have come into the tournament pretty cocky.

I guess you have to fly business only now as well, going forward

Got a call from my brother in law at midday to ask if we wanted to go to watch the game. He takes an exec box at Murrayfield. What a day. Only tough part was having to Sophie’s choice a decision on which of my sons went with me as my wife wasn’t bothered.

Being able to walk inside and watch bits of the game next to free bar is pretty sweet. 5 course meal. Champagne reception. Ex players popping in.

    And then beating the English

We’ve a really robust record against them now only 2 defeats in 10 years. Pre match I really didn’t know what to expect. There were a few England supporters in the box and equally they seemed unsure. Atmosphere was immense tho and Finn was on fire. The one thing I do love about rugby is win or lose you typically chat to opposing supporters post match and being able to handle that is all part of the game. The England supporters I spoke to were really sound.

We just need other country’s to also wear white now I think….

It ended up being a fairly comfortable afternoon which was unexpected. I always think England don’t pick their best team - or the one I’d consider to be the best team. But we turned up big time.

Going corporate has probably ruined going to any live sport event for me now, but what can you do.

Watched the Ireland game pre match and Italy are ****ing good now. One forward pass away from what would have been a massive upset. That said they are so good that there is equally no shame in just squeaking past them. Their scrum dominance was mental. That scrum when Furlong popped out

Italys scrum is a massive weapon. They had real dominance for most of the game. Ours is ****e, mad that we were so dominant on Saturday with a scrum going backwards. Have to credit Townsend and the team they won the tactical battle.

Can they do it against Wales, France and you lot. Doubtful. Unless we get you all to sing God save the King pre match and wear white!!!
haha - our pack isn't too bad tbh, prbably a few very key players Furlong & Beirne are "too old" but the rest if a good age..... probably too many miles on the clock.

Sending the bulk of a Lions squad is coming home to roost for Ireland and Leinster now
