If the kick had gone over, and if all the games since that draw would then have been played the same way with the same tactics and ending with the same results.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post4 try's now. So a draw with the Welsh would have been enough in retrospect.
They blew it big time.
If England had of got the draw, maybe Wales would have tried different tactics and gone all out for a bonus point v Fiji ?
Too many variables imo, results change the outlook of groups and teams in those groups, it's to simplistic to look at it in hindsight and say everything would have played out the same.

Well, I disagree, it was the wrong decision. I suspect everything would have played out more or less the same, Wales were battered and bruised by the time they played Fiji. And even if not at least England are still in with a shout going into yesterday's games.
I'd wager if he could do it all again Robshaw would go for the posts.
Anyway. England are out now.
And we have a decent set of 1/4 finals to look forward to. We are massive undrrdogs, so really have nothing to lose next week. One player who I have been disappointed with for us so far is Stuart Hogg, he's not had a great game yet. But our pack was immense yesterday, Hardie and Richie Gray absolutely immense.Modifying post.

Oh no doubt in my mind it was the wrong decision, i just don't hold with the foregone conclusions people are making from him making the right one is all.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post

Scotland did brilliant yesterday, a real test that game was, showed immense willpower and determination not to get beat against a team playing rugby the fun way.
