    Very happy with that.

Good win, and the French played some good stuff too, we were just better and stayed strong when they went after us.

10/10 performance from Hogg. The best I've ever seen him play.

Seems to be some argument as to whether what Marler said was racist or not, ('hey Gypsy boy') but what's the punishment in Rugby for a racist comment anyway ?

            I read he'd get a 4 game ban.

Minimum 4 weeks but he has been cited for striking an opponent so it might be a lengthy one.

hmmm, so then, good to see them clamping down and showing that uncouth game of football how to set standards, after all, the Grand Slam is the important thing here.

Quite surprised that Marler didn't receive any charges TBH.

They are saying he got off because he apologised in his own straight away at half time. It sets a precedent though, you can say what you like - but if you apologise straight away it will be tolerated.

Probably didn't help that Galtand referred to it as 'banter'

Which he was pulled up about and had to apologise for, being told it was a serious issue.

Then the Rugby powers let Marler off the hook totally. apart from having to be on the bench, ouch! that must really hurt.

It's just weird that those running these organisations score such own goals, how hard would it have been to punish him and say we don't accept such behaviour, the tournament is won after all, not that that should influence them, but they had the perfect opportunity to set standards, and dropped the ball..

It's bound to concentrate opinion that they are an easy target, and no one really cares if people want to insult them with racial inferences.

Did he get off of the strike or is that still going through?

He's cleared to play, but he'll drop to the bench.

If good fortune is to play a part in England winning a Grand Slam, then Eddie Jones’ team had better hope that they have not already used up all their luck.

There are two changes to the starting XV that won the championship last weekend with Danny Care trading places with Ben Youngs and Joe Marler doing likewise with Mako Vunipola. That Marler is available to take his place in a match day squad is remarkable given that the Harlequin prop had to answer two charges in recent days, of striking Wales prop, Rob Evans with his forearm and then of making alleged racist comments towards tighthead Samson Lee. Marler escaped a ban on both fronts, reprimanded but free to play.

It was a deeply unsatisfactory chain of events, a poorly-structured disciplinary process. Jones had already dealt with the derogatory comments in-house, as early as Saturday evening. But the official process dallied and lacked decisiveness or logic. The unsavoury affair, though, has not hung over the camp. England head to Paris in good stead.

Is it me, or is Marler a liability? He always seems to be punished for not scrummaging straight, or being naughty and getting caught.
