Is the so called "super 6" still on the agenda for next season?

It is (I think) though I haven't seen much press regarding it for a while.

There was some controversy in the location of the franchises from what I recall.

Have seen the Scotland Team for Saturday. It feels like a summer tour team, with so many players out.

Peter Horne at 10.

He can do a job there, but whether he can at international level, well I guess we will find out. Adam Hastings was nailed on in the 10 back up until Christmas where he went off the rails with Glasgow with a few poor performances, most noticeably against Edinburgh.

It will clearly be good if it's helping to create another layer of quality - albeit below the level of the Pro 14 - but it's a start.

There was a good BBC article about Scotland going to France with zero expectations in 1999 (the last time they won there?) Agreed they are in a far worse position injury wise this time round, but then again France are in free fall, so if the Scots can at least get the basics right, who knows what the outcome might be?

We have to cut out the mistakes. The rest of our game is there...

Every game we have played in the last 2 years barring Wales away first game of last 6Ns there have been chances for us to have won away. Even against the ABs and SA we had chances to win.

These are the tiny margins that separate the best from the rest.

It is a fascinating prospect in both Paris and Cardiff at the weekend.

Well beaten there.

In retrospect given how well he played when he came on we should have started with Hastings at 10. Also noticeable how much quicker the ball was with Ali Price at scrum half.

Nick Grigg just continually proves that he is a solid club centre but not good enough at International level.

Good win for the French, but I wonder what we might have done with the likes of Russell, Hogg and Jones and a back row with Barclay and Watson at the breakdown against that tiring French pack in the second half.
