I've been impressed with the Italian backs, they actually look threatening from time to time. That's not something I can recall happening a lot in the past.

Decent. Hard fought. Keeping Italy to nil shows our defence has improved a lot. Feels like Russell could make the difference attack wise though Hastings improved a lot.

Italy made some decent breaks but never really got within 5 metres. 21 turnovers for us was impressive.

Something to build on anyway.

A bit of a dull 2nd half for the neutral with Italy looking like the Italy of old. Not that it would have bothered you Buzzo

A nil in the points conceded column is always good and should help with building confidence for the challenges to come.
