First game I’ve watched in a while - we played into your hands with some horrible defending and shocking kicking. Farrell and his coaching team can be ****ed off - we’ve gone back even though our players are better than we had before. I have no idea how Gibson Park is in the squad never mind starting ahead of Murray.

I don’t think the 4 week break with the cancellation of the France game helped us at all. We did look better when Gilchrist came on and Huw Jones showed what a dynamic runner can bring. We played well in beating England, played well and lost with 14 to Wales. And that was just ****

This Irish side frustrates the hell out of me and mainly Farrell, Catt and Easterby. We have no attacking patterns, our defence is passive and they are not picking our best players. The only positive thing is since O’Connell came on our line out has improved

Ye were as **** and error strewn as us but I still think good teams can strangle ye. Play open and lose and you’ll beat most sides. We had the game won and got careless again.

I can’t believe he picks Gibson Park who is **** and Lowe (who I had high hopes for) looks way out of his depth. I fully expect to lose to England next weekend - they will over power us as they always do.

The mad thing is - we should have beaten Wales with 14 men (we kicked it out on the full with a last min pen and a try wins the game), France again we could have won. I guess it’s fine margins in the 6 Nations and while I am really happy with recent successes I’m not optimistic under this coaching team - we’ve regressed a lot since Schmidt left

I think we have some better options and I have no idea how Sam Skinner isn’t making the bench at least he can play at lock and 6 and 7. It feels close for us, but, yeah as you say up front we can look a bit ropey at the break down. It was all square in the scrum a pen each against the head from memory. It was pretty ferocious at times and the kicking from 9 was **** from both teams. We are so much better than we showed today, but there is no point showing our potential once or twice per tournament. Also disappointing that Redpath has been injured since the England game. If love to see him and Jones.

Also want Ali Price to be under more pressure from the bench. Scott Steele ended up blaming back row ffs. When he should have been coming in for Price with 10-15 to go and ultimately may have helped us to at least the draw.

Did you see the one that was headed?

Our line out was a joke. All of Turners good work v England has been undone against Wales and today. We miss Brown and McInally.

Agree with your attack, still relying on that Sexton special move and then just some Gatlandball risqué big hitters. No craft. And yeah the 9 looked woeful.

Your pack have won you so many games, some absolute monsters in there and their were some collosall collisions.

I can’t believe Wales are on for a Slam FFS. We were all over them even with 14... it is such a tough tournament with really not much between the 5 but a slight pecking order within that depending.

Well at least we should both have some test Lions to feel part of the series I think Ryan, Furlong and maybe Henshaw might get into the test side. Russell should but Garland likes it safe - I think today was one of his worse days

Lions wise, I think it was a bad day for a lot of our guys, I'd say Hogg is a certain starter, and Watson is in the mix for back row.

No way Russell will start for a Gatland team, though I think he will tour. Jonny Gray didnt have his best day but I think he was carrying a knock from quite early on. Maybe Jamie Ritchie and one of the wingers.

Ultimately I think the Lions tour should be put back a year. A home tour, well, its not really what the Lions is about is it? You would have to imagine the Lions should be strong favourites for every test if it is played at home, and though I think the idea of a pre tour home match was a good idea, the entire tour in the UK, nah. Leave it a year.
