Even though we were robbed blind by the officiating this was a giveaway. Don't even look at the possibility of forward passes on the Ireland tries where they looked very questionable. Some of those pens were ridiculous too. Nothing from the scrum despite dominating them, typical.

I was out yesterday and didn't see this, but the referee was the Georgian fella wasn't it?

Interesting that he got pretty much the biggest game of the autumn series.

Who was mostly putting into the scrums? In a piece I read a couple of days ago it said that of all the refs involved over the next few weeks, his record shows he is the most likely to oversee scrums won by the 'attacking' side.

He's apparently one of the least likely to blow for breakdown penalties too. You may have a different view on this

I was at Murrayfield last week and this.

We look a mess, Townsend has lost his way some really muddled thinking around selection.

For all his faults, the best moments Ive seen from Scotland over the last 5 years have had Finn Russell at 10. To say he isn’t on the squad on form is clearly bull****. They don’t get on. Being head coach of Scotland and falling out with a once in a generation talent is unforgivable.

We have the core of a strong squad. But we are going to get ****ed in the World Cup by Ireland and South Africa.

I watched the All Blacks absolutely blow Wales away in the final 1/4 of their match,

The first half of Ireland v South Africa was pretty poor I thought then saw Ireland score two brilliant try’s then had to switch off for a party we were hosting

Someone one of my kids has met in Glasgow reckons young Hastings may be partial to a sniff.

Having seen that I'm wondering if they were right. No one of his stature deliberately takes contact with a Fijian

First time we've ever lost to the Argies at home.

Poor discipline AGAIN.

Such a disappointment when there are so many good players in England, that we aren't punching our weight internationally.

Edit - apparently we lost at home to them 16 years ago, but it must have been our 3rd or 4th team because I have no recollection of that.

Yeah, England are so much better than what you see on the field. Eddie Jones has made confused selections for years now since his early days of dominance.

Only replying as you mentioned me. As stated, waste of time posting in here as people only 'read' a small percentage of what you're saying and warp the context. I thought it was a great game. It could have gone either way and we lost it. No complaints. Sure France gave away 3 consecutive pens and only had a warning and we got a yellow on the first offense in a similar situation but that's the way it goes. Thought we showed a lot of heart given du Toit got sent off right at the beginning of the game. Didn't know that Kolbe or Faf could kick so well, even Willemse nailed one. The fact we smashed half of their team and played reasonably well gave me confidence we can beat these guys next time around. Just missed out on the scoreboard but not a horrorshow by any means. They are a great team but I think it's a good stylistic match up for us moving forward.

Don't understand why Nieneaber loves Jesse Kriel, I'd get him out of there ASAP. Him and de Allende together in there is not good at all. I know Am is on another level there are definitely much better options in the domestic and Northern game to look at.

Interested to see how Dupont's suspension compares to Arendse's against the All Blacks. He deserves the same in my book. On the subject of Arendse, I'm surprised at quite how good he is, thought he was excellent.

Well at least you haven’t gone full Rassie his post match tweet fest isn’t helpful. I watched the highlights and ye were on the wrong side of a very close game again - bounce of the ball etc as you said

For what it’s worth assuming a fit squad then ye will be favorites for me. Put Am into that back line and a stable 10 behind your pack and it’s a side with little to no weaknesses. France have ground out two late wins and while they are excellent I think the home pressure will get to them in the big games.

Ireland - assuming we get past Scotland then we’ll fall at the quarter final as we always do. Good as we are we still ate super dependent on Sexton who will be 38 and can’t play 2 games a week
