Then you've got the potential Slam weekend, that is potentially an even worse weekend for you.

One game at a time Buzzo and I mixed up my dates - it’s the weekend after the English game. I’m in Prague all that week with work (inc Patrick’s day ) and get home in time for the English game

Is set up to be anyway. Can only hope that both teams play to their best and that does not mean them cancelling the other out.

A classic tight game and an Irish win, what could be better?

And no, a classic game with a Scottish win is not what could be better.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

          Wow, Farrell benched for Smith.

I actually back that call, but not sure Borthwick sets up in a way that suits Smith.

We are off skiing tomorrow and back Monday night - need to see how to watch the game. Heading straight to Prague Tuesday morning and back Sat just in time for the England game

Your missus seems to have defeated you here. You owe her one or are you stock piling brownie points?

It’s hard to say no to a ski trip vs staying at home to watch rugby. We’ve been planning to do it but I’ve been non committal so she went and booked herself. She knew I’m traveling on Tuesday so it was a Fri and Mon off.

I’ll figure it out to watch I’m sure….. if we play to our absolute best we’ll win regardless of how ye go. Anything less than that and Scotland play to their best, then ye win. I want to win of course but I’d be happy for ye to win a TC and us the championship if we lose

I agree with your summary, as much as we have improved, you guys are unmatchable on your day. Only factors that work for us is home advantage - but you lot have won away in NZ.

****ing typical the best ever Scotland team coincides with similar for France and Ireland

During 6 Nations I listen to a lot of rugby pods and the consensus is France are waining a bit. O’Gara said with a summers rest behind them then they’ll be revived. The were untouchable last year but we should’ve put another 20 points on them and ye should’ve won. I think Danty coming back helps them hugely though - having said that I wouldn’t be surprised if England beat them.

This isn’t you best ever side - ye’ d played in a WC semi final, won grand slams etc….. but, it certainly is in the modern era. I don’t see any real weakness to go after - I just think we’ve better players in certain positions and are together longer. Ultimately, it’ll come down to the packs - I really hope he picks Dorris at 8 because right now he might be the best forward in the world, he was nigh on unplayable vs France. Beirne is a big loss but hopefully the cavalry will be fit - Furlong, Sheehan, Sexton, Gibson Park, Henshaw and Ringrose

It’s intriguing and a game that is fascinating to see where both sides are at - it has razor sharp focus from our lads. Nobody is looking beyond it and many people are saying it’s a toss of a coin

I think it is. Best in the pro era, and the pro era has brought about the best Rugby. Not out most successful side obvs, but our best. Certainly the team I’ve enjoyed most and it’s improved more or less year on year for 6 years - and still delivered nothing. But it’s a great team to watch and follow.

Now that Italy are good and England unpredictable every game has something in it. Italy Wales is a potential classic now with them going for a home win, and England France a real unknowable given the French never win at Twickenham.

I’m looking forward to Sunday but more in hope than expectation.

Big win for the Irish u-20s last night. Going for back to back slams - a few huge prospects coming through, especially Sam Prendergast at 10…… we might finally have a Sexton replacement

                                England comeback hits the skids.

Never seen a try like that before Smith dragged across the line. Releases and then France touched down through the ruck.

                                10-41
