It’s not impossible, but it’s not far off. I believe we need to beat you with a BP and deny you a BP to qualify, that’s a pretty tall order.

We played ok today. Bit scruffy second half and left a few points out there. Somehow Tonga didn’t have a bunker review red in the first half after a hit to Jamie Rotchies head that he didn’t return from. They then put a late it into a ruck that was upgraded after full time. There were a fair few borderline hits in the first half imo.

So we go for a BP win v Romania then the miracle.

Unless Tonga can beat SA? That would change things

A lot of the commentary around Wales is definitely getting carried away. From what I’ve seen a very lucky win Vs Fiji, albeit with some good passages of play, a less than convincing win v Portugal with second string and then a convincing win v an absolutely shocking Aussie team.

The draw has been very kind.

Am I bitter about that? Yes.

But same as England I have not seen Wales tested yet.

As Eddie Jones faces the sack again, here's an incredible story from @joesimpson9 about the ex-England coach's savage management style...

A former assistant coach once made a minor mistake in training and received a humiliating bollocking from Eddie in front of the entire squad.

Later on, Jones sat him down and apologised for losing his rag.

"I wanna apologise for how I spoke to you earlier, mate," the Aussie told him.

"I've bought you a steak, take it home and eat it with your missus. Enjoy it and please accept my apology".

The slightly puzzled coach went home, told his wife about his bizarre day, and fired up a griddle pan to cook the peace offering.

But when he opened up the bag there was no steak in there - just a pack of sausages...

He then received a text from Eddie, "You're not ready for steak. You're a sausage. Up your game.".

Aren’t they looking to expand to 24 teams next tournament - 6 pools of 4, top 2 plus 4 best third place teams into the round of 16…… they actually said it’ll shorten the tournament by a week

Anyway…..all roads lead to Paris next week as it was always going to be. We look to have a full squad with Conan back in full training. Ye can get through, it’s unlikely but ye can. I’m worried about this one, too many people talking about NZ already but Farrell and the team won’t think that way

We need to dominate up front and ye need to go after our set piece - such a shame one of us goes out and the absolute dross on the other side goes through

It’s just not going to happen… we will have a good go but we need a lot to go our way. I think we are good as well and would have fancied us for a semi final if we were in the bull**** side of the draw.

In terms of the future of the comp having these near 100 point wins is a bad look, they should almost tier the final and have less not more teams. If they want to increase the appeal of the sport then having mos matches is not the way to do it. I was chatting to a mate who is not into Rugby and he doesn’t get it at all and seeing one sided matches just kind of removes the allure of it as a serious competition.

And then having a bull**** tournament draw 3 years out doesn’t help either.

Pissed off with sport this weekend.
