I got to the Athletic Arms (Diggers, I think it's called) near Haymarket at about 1pm. Was asbsolutely heaving till 2, when the whole pub seemed to leave to get to the game.
Had a few beers and whisky chasers with a couple of locals, both 59, who have been coming to the Diggers since they were 16. Those boys were putting away the beers and whiskie like it was water.
Then watched England lose in the same pub with an Italian crew, and all the Scots right behind the Italians (of course). The Diggers had some excellent whiskies and great pies.
Afterwards, I ended up Teuchters bar, again having some whiskies with a few lovely local lads.
Woke up with a very heavy head, but wandered around central Edinburgh on the Sunday, and back to Dublin in the afternoon.
What an awesome weekend, even if it was absolutely heaving with FrenchComment

Nice one mate! Diggers is a famous Hearts bar just a few mins walk from Tynecastle (and a few more to Murrayfield).
Teuchters is a top bar also been there loads over the years.

Yeah you do. Definitely feels like I’ve seen this movie before - But a well deserved win for you guys.
I think you won the game in the first half. We threw everything we had second half but the scoreboard pressure was too much.
I think we missed Cummings and Brown quite a bit, but you guys were very good. JGP had a top game again and Beirne as you say.

Ultimately we beat ye up front again, we seem to always have the edge in the pack. JGP was excellent and Stewy Mac has had a brilliant tournament.
France for me are still the top side for me and Italy were such fine margins away from beating us and even vs France.Comment

Yeah it’s a tournament of very fine margins. Thought our first try suggested we would match you up front as it was a great pack effort - but you came back and scored a couple of first phase try’s which I think we will be disappointed with.

Yeah that was outstanding from the first minute to the last. England finally arrive at the tournament they were superb today.
Would be some team that could beat both of those teams.
Ramos with balls of steel with that kick at the end. Maro up trying to spoil so massive delay. And he split the posts.
Finn Smith butchered three relatively simple cons in the first half which would probably won it for them.
