Yeah massive shock, not announced by Ferrari as of yet but Horners essentially said it.
Only one viable option for Alonso now and that's McLaren and he didn't exactly leave on the best of terms the last time around. If he does go there Button is screwed for a race seat and it's probably the end of the line for him.Comment

Big news that. Helmut Marko will be suicidal at his blue eyed boy leaving
Needed to be done though. It's mad cos he's 4 time champion but he needs to do it elsewhere to be properly revered. Be funny if Alonso leaves and Ferrari finally sort out a car that can challenge !Comment

What's gone against Vettel this year is how he's been soundly beaten by Ricciardo who had for me been the driver the season so far.
Alonso has actually left himself with very few options for next season with probably McLaren the only realistic option. The only other thing I can see him doing is head over the the States and do NASCAR and wait to see if a seat comes up at the Mercs for 2016Comment

He wanted to leave Ferrari for a while but when he gets the chance it looks like it's because they wanted him out and had their top replacement in place. I agree it leaves him little options although he's saying he knows what he wants and has done for months. I can't see McLaren being much better for him in a quicker time frame than Ferrari would have been and he's not getting any younger. They already have the best engine package and haven't done much with it and Honda haven't produced a great engine since the 80s.Comment

Amazing! That one twitch from Rosberg on the bend was enough for Lewis to take a shot, lovely move, into the spray blind and around the outside.
Just waiting on the health of the two drivers that crashed, Sutil and Bianchi, badly, quite a somber mood around at the mo.Comment

The thing about Lewis is i think he has that ultimate desire/drive in him which spurs him on that bit more than other drivers to win...Love it ...yeah it is very dangerous lord knows how they do it with all that rain and sprayComment

I'm really down today after the race, I'm very worried about Bianchi.
I was 2 years old when Senna and Ratzenburger died so obviously I'm too young to remember it - although I did watch it on my Dad's knee. So this is the first crash of this nature I've been exposed to.
I've driven on track in a few wet conditions and it's absolutely awful. It's so easy to lock up the rear or light up the rear. Once you aquaplane there is absolutely nothing you can do, just brace yourself to hit the tyres/wall.Comment

It was terrible wasn't it, Brundle still holds anger towards that race being allowed to continue and rightly so.
Worrying about Bianchi tbh but he's going to get the best care possible and you've got to hope that it will be a positive outcomeComment
