Sadly I agree with this. All the tyre management etc.... Let them crank the cars up and sodding race like they used to.

As was mentioned by Dan in an earlier post they need to massively restrict the aero side of things. Even before **** tyres, DRS and KERS there wasn't much action going on when compared with the 70s and 80s. All the complaints where that there was no overtaking. The three things mentioned were introduced in response to that rather than do the obvious thing and restrict aero thus making it about the engine and driver. Vettels dominance has just exacerbated the feeling of boredom around the sport right now.
Sadly I don't think anyone in F1 thinks there's an issue with the sport right now so nothing will happen.
I hope and pray the new regs massively shake up the order next year and when teams are finally getting on top of them in a couple of years, change it all again.

Just switched it on, first race I've seen any of for ages, its compelling stuff. This is what F1 is all about. Man vs machine vs the track vs the weather conditions vs ability to stay awake.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostThe RB car is at least a second quicker than everyone else, it's not even a race anymore.Always borrow money from a pessimist. Really good race.
I hate the rule that lapped cars can unlap themselves (especially with DRS). Even if they pass through cleanly, the likelihood is that they'll be holding the other driver up again even though they're technically 1.5mins behind.
Hamilton didn't expect Bottas to try and overtake him and he touched, then he gets a drive through penalty.
Madness IMO!

I think the problem is, the racers are too nice. You have a cocky cunt walking every race, why havent the others had a word and driven him off the track at the first corner? Just drive into to back of him. Where's the pride? Surely someone is envious enough to have a poke?Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

Spot on there. If you look at some of the great drivers of the past their ego and pride was almost too big for the car. Someone like vettle coming up against a Schumacher, Senna, Mansell in their prime wouldn't stand a chance.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostI think the problem is, the racers are too nice. There's no one in F1 at the minute that has that edge to them with maybe the exception of Alonso. I also don't like the way the cars are the past few year and the rule taking away refuelling when pitting.
I'd love to see the cars being allowed to go back to Turbo's and all the drivers aids being taken away. Put it back in the drivers control and give F1 it's edge back.

Now that was F1. Not like the watered down procession we see today.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostI remember Mansell wiping out Senna after he had a black flag when he was at Ferrari.
And of course, Senna wiped out Prost for the title after Prost did it to him.
The cars are going back to turbo next year.
