As much as I loved seeing Lewis stride away with it (I'm an unashamed Lewis fanboi), I am concerned that F1 has basically just swapped one dominant team for another. Lewis seemed to have a lot in reserve yesterday, and the mid part of the race (the same as in Oz) turned processional.

The atmosphere seems to have been dimmed by the lack of noise - when the older cars were going through the motions, the noise was always there to remind you that you're watching edge of seat speed and supreme reactions and driving skill. This year, with that lacking and with the coasting into corners, it all looks a bit sanitised and flat.

I'm totally not arsed this year. Its ****e,the sound is ****e,the races so far were boring and you're right,I said it as well myself, they've just replaced Red Bull dominance with Mercedes dominance. Over a second quicker than any other car in second practice today. After that 0.3 seconds separated 3rd to 9th so it's quite competitive if they weren't so far ahead. But they are so great for them but its **** to watch.

Schumi showing signs of consciousness. Hopefully there is still a 'person' in there and he isn't just a shell.

Hamilton was ****ing amazing there at the end on the less grippy compund. Brilliant performance by both the Mercs.

Brilliant aggressive; yet skillful in control driving from him today.

Wonderful watching those two Silver Arrows going wing to wing with eachother.

Just watched the race, quality racing from both the Mercs hard but fair and well done Hamilton for managing to hold onto the win with the slower tyres.

It did show though just how far ahead of the other teams the Merc cars are though, pulling out 9 odd seconds in 2 or 3 laps after the safety car

I'm still waiting, BBC putting it on at 10pm is ridiculous. Sounds worth the wait though.

Well that was far more interesting than the previous two! At least with merc dominance the two drivers are well matched enough to have a pop at each other and keep it interesting. Was great seeing vettel get told to get out of Ricciardo's way! They had a good battle at the end too.

                          More like this please.

The fact that they were both pushing each other let us see the real speed of the merc that they were trying to keep under wraps, and the difference between them and the rest is enormous!

Superb stuff. Battles all over the track, often with evenly matched team mates.

This'll do for me. Awesome drive by Hamilton.
