...and Ricciardo! Talk about seizing an opportunity! Massively impressed by him - just look at how the McLaren job ate up Perez and look how Ricciardo is performing in comparison - especially when you consider he's team mates with the 4 time world champion. He's there to stay. Well done Dan!

Yeah he's doing a superb job so far, out qualified his teammate in every race so far I think. Nice to see an Aussie with the upper hand in that garage for once!

Brilliant day for sport today! Start off with a dominant win for Lewis, a superb Liverpool (nerve wracking) win and then the Mancs losing at Everton, haha!

Lewis was phenomenal today, he was a class apart controlling the race. Ricciardo is destroying Seb this season - interesting to hear that he reckons its because he's not used to the lack of downforce compared to Ricciardo, who had loads less of it last season in the Toro Rosso, so Dan has made the transition to the new cars easier than Seb. He's being blasted away just now though.

Also interesting to see the interaction between Lewis and Nico at the end of the race. Lewis is in championship mode now and Nico is his biggest rival. No niceties there.

Loved Vettel asking about strategy when asked to move over for Riccardo, then replying with 'tough luck' as an answer. before making a mistake on the next bend and allowing Riccardo to overtake anyway.

Brilliant Senna tribute from the BBC there, shows you don't need to spend a whole week on it (Sky) to make a fitting tribute. There's a certain gravitas you get from the BBC that you can't get on ITV or Sky.

FP3 this morning - Nico a whole second quicker than Lewis. Wow.

Awesome from Lewis again pulling that lap out, Rosberg looked shellshocked in the press conference afterwards.

Vettel is really struggling at the moment, car breaks down in final qualifying and he's also been given a 5 place grid pen as well.

I agree! I've had a feeling that this might be Rosberg's race.

                    ****ing boring though innit?

Yeah not great and the pit stops from Lewis's side of the garage have been dreadful!!

Wow. Rosberg just doesn't have that edge does he? Brilliant end to a pedestrian race on the whole. The last 10 laps were worth it though.

Lewis has amazing race management these days, he's always been lightning quick but the way he managed the gap to Rosberg was superb.

Hats off to Vettel as well, coming from 15th to 4th was an awesome effort.

It's Lewis's to lose already IMO, he's just got it over Nico who needs to stop the rot sooner rather than later

I tried to get excited for the race today. Watched the practice and qualifying yesterday. I sat down today watched the build up and then the race. The sport is an absolute bore these days.

They have turned what used to be an exciting on the edge of your seat sport into a total precession. Giving drivers drive through penalties for making contact has killed the racing element.

The end wasn't processional and boring, but the rest was pretty staid. Lots of racing in the last few laps, with some genuine competition between lots of different cars, not least the front two. Glad to see Raikkonen getting handed a lesson by Alonso too.
