Crazy to have given him a 3 year deal, not been the same since the bad accidentOriginally posted by CJ View PostHe has a three year contract I think. If Alonso rumours came to fruition he would bring Santander money with him. Though not sure what that means fornasir and his banco De Brazil money.
Could the hulk comeback to Williams? Though isn't his height and therefore weight a bit of an issue?

I thought it was odd. Maybe with nasir and the banco De Brazil money having a Brazilian on a three year deal was bought to be good. Also next year Williams will be using petrobras (Brazilian) fuel. The Martini deal isn't loads of cash McLaren said no to to Martini for just being a sponsor for the same amount of cash. The shortfall at Williams is made up by pdvsa buying out the remainder of the contract.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostCrazy to have given him a 3 year deal, not been the same since the bad accident
Also Williams may have not thought they would be so competitive so Massa was the best experienced driver they could get.

Incredible drive tbh from Hamilton, as has been said Hungary is a bit like Monaco, very little opportunity to overtake freely.
When you also consider Rosberg started 1st, Hamilton dead last from the pit lane, then immediatley spun his car at the start, but finished ahead of Rosberg! just an amazing piece of skill.

I agreed to go out with the missus, so had recorded the race.
I got back with about 22 laps to go and rewound it to the start. As soon as Errikson crashed the Sky box went off and wouldn't rewind, so had to watch it live for the last 12 laps or so which was bloody annoying.
I'll watch the rest tomorrow after work. Looked a fantastic race.

BBC is an absolute waste of time. David bloody Coulthard and Eddie Jordon, **** that.

Looks like Hamilton made the right call then, and has the backing of the team that it was an unfair ask.
Mercedes will rethink their approach to races after a controversy over team orders at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton refused a demand to move over for team-mate Nico Rosberg because he felt it would mean the German would end up beating him in the race.
Mercedes F1 boss Toto Wolff said: "We will not have that situation again because we will try to learn.
"We cannot expect the drivers in the second half of the season to move over for their main competitor."

I quite like Wolff, he knows that unless there is an unmitigated disaster both titles will be coming back to the Mercs and it's best to just let them race I mean it's unlikely either will be moving over for each other now anyway; the sport needs this as well IMO too many team orders which takes away from the sport, if you let them race it'll be a much better spectacle which leaves everyone winning.

One of the best Hungarian GP's I have seen - I'm in France just now and managed to get a download of it from Sky Deutschland without a commentary, which was interesting.
Hamilton did absolutely the right thing staying ahead, Rosberg didn't get rear end close so shouldn't have demanded the jump on Lewis - if he had been right with him then fair enough, but is he really expecting a favour when it comes to potentially gaining points over his main rival? Is he expecting to have the title handed to him?
Lewis's overtake on Vergne was amazing - that was ultimately the difference between the pair of them - Lewis got it done, Nico didn't.
Alonso was great, Danny Ric was fantastic.
