That was Rosberg's fault- He pulled into a space that wasnt there- why should Danny Ric go off the track just to allow Rosberg to take that line

Hamiliton had a shocking race with two massive panic moves that really cost him.

If I were the Mercs though I'd be looking at the Ferrari performance and be a little worried, it should have been a very easy 1-2 on the day for them if Kimi hadn't had his issues.

Fair play to Danny Ric, he was switched on and knew he'd have a grip advantage on the softer tyres. His move on Rosberg was pretty special too, showing intuition and imagination that Nico could only dream of. The collision was entirely his fault and reminded me a bit of Spa last year with the stunt he pulled on Lewis.

Vettel is really growing into the F1 statesman role too though, his words immediately after the win were pretty much perfect. He's a good lad is Seb.

You answered your own statement there- Danny was much quicker than Hamilton due to tyres, nothing Hamilton could have done about it, so should just have let him past because he ended up making himself vulnerable to another few drivers by trying too hard to defend

On a side note- how much of a great guy is Ricciardo. Seems like a genuinely down to earth, good guy.

What I meant by that was that he wasn't on the front foot attacking Rosberg, rather he was drawn back after a hesitation into the clutches of Danny Ric. If you look at the restart, just before racing was back underway, he looked to have switched off and was too far behind Rosberg to challenge when the safety car went. It was a bit dozy and not really like him.

And yeah, Danny Ric seems a good guy.

Jenson Button burglary: Gas suspected in F1 driver break-in.

Anaesthetic gas may have been used against Jenson Button and his wife Jessica during a burglary in France, the Formula 1 driver's spokesman says.

Two men, who stole jewellery including Jessica's engagement ring, may have pumped gas through the air conditioning before Monday's break-in, he said.

The couple were with friends in a rented villa in Saint-Tropez.

The British former F1 champion's spokesman said they were unharmed but everyone was "unsurprisingly shaken".

The couple married in December.

Button's spokesman said: "Two men broke into the property whilst they all slept and stole a number of items of jewellery including, most upsettingly, Jessica's engagement ring.

300k in total rumored to have been taken.

"The police have indicated that this has become a growing problem in the region with perpetrators going so far as to gas their proposed victims through the air conditioning units before breaking in."

Button, 35, who drives for team McLaren, is based in Monaco, about 80 miles (130km) along the coast from Saint-Tropez. He won the F1 championship in 2009 driving for Brawn GP and finished in eighth place in 2014.

Speaking to someone who I know who has done some work with merc and I asked what Lewis and nico are like. I got told nico is lovely and Lewis is more demanding.

I know people from his McLaren days that said although he was quite demanding was a nice enough guy, very focused I think was one thing aimed at him (early days).

I guess it can be the difference between winning and losing. Lewis doesn't really come across well but on the track Lewis seems to be pretty hard but fair and I always think that Nico is a little bit more devious than Lewis i.e. knows he's not as naturally quick so takes a few "shortcuts"
