It's not daft to question or be frustrated by these F1 rulings my friend. I suspect you're pretty neutral and don't really care.

It’s Harv, he loves a good wind up!

I’m with Kenneth, lost all interest in F1 after Abu Dhabi 2021.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

Congrats Mclaren, great result despite the toxic Verstappen at it again.

Let's hope the Neweyless Horner and RB slide into oblivion next year.

Yeah; great to see McLaren winning today.

Red Bull sack team principal Horner

Christian Horner has been sacked by Red Bull after 20 years as team principal.

The 51-year-old had been Red Bull's only team principal since its first Formula 1 season in 2005.

Horner's dismissal comes 17 months after he was accused by a female colleague of "inappropriate behaviour".

Horner was twice cleared of the claims by the team's parent company, Red Bull GmBH.

"Red Bull has released Christian Horner from his operational duties with effect from today and has appointed Laurent Mekies as CEO (chief executive) of Red Bull Racing," Red Bull GmbH said in a statement on Wednesday.

                So Mercedes got Verstappen then?

Or will Verstappen only stay if Horner goes, like Jos was saying earlier in the year?

I think the Horner push was to try and keep him at RedBull. I think you'll see him stay for 2026 anyway to guage which car has got the new regs nailed best and then move in 2027.

I think your right - Top level sport is brutal, Horner built red bull F1 racing from nothing. He will have got a massive payout I guess

£50M is the number being banded about at the moment.

In the end I think all the outside noise that came with Horner did for him along with the number of senior RB members jumping ship in the last couple of years.

We've been on this page for three years now, funny looking back at what was said in 2022. One thing that has become massively apparent is that Verstappen is an all timer now, regardless of Red Bull being a one car team. He was luckily phenomenal again at Brazil this weekend gone, got the benefit of the early safety car and getting off those hard tyres, but getting from the pit lane to 3rd place was amazing, even more so considering he ended up back in last after climbing to 13th at the start.

Still - we have an interesting end to the season this year. Piastri seems to have fallen off a cliff and Lando has hit form. It might just be experience seeing Norris through, and having gone for a title in the past. Not sure there's much between them, and it might be that Piastri does have the higher ceiling in the long run.

or mclaren put all their eggs in the Norris basket. He's gotten all the favourable calls from the team and you can see how frustrated Piastri is now. He's been absolutely shafted IMO the last few races

Without getting into the whole team mates debate, I really like Piastri - he seems to have that extra bit that makes proper winners. I'd be massively surprised if he doesn't end up winning the title more than once. I suppose it depends on where McLaren are after the reset of the new rules next year.

Piastri I think has the higher ceiling and will win a couple of titles if he’s in the right car.

Looking forward to moving on from this iteration of F1 car too big and cumbersome for my liking.
