Florence. Pretty much flat. It's hard to tell how technical it is from here though:

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Just had a look at the GB team, pretty strong

Yes, they're supposedly riding for Froome. He hasn't been dominant in the two Canadian one-day races but that might not just be down to him. Sky have been poor in one day races - Stannard's Milan-Sanremo apart - and they just don't seem to have worked out the tactics. And the same applies to GB too. They just aim to control the whole race like they do in stage races. But the shape of a one day race is different, the dynamics are just too complex, you can't eliminate risk.
Their tactics worked once - for Cavendish in 2011 - but they almost lost it at the end and were only saved by Cavendish's amazing ability to get himself out of trouble and his incredible speed.
If they use the same tactics then maybe they'll work again but I wouldn't bet on it..

A really exciting finish in the Tour of Britain today. The last 15km is well worth watching.

Ah, bad luck. But I look forward to reading your frustrated posts on here while you're with them.

Wow, another great finish, this time in today's GP de Wallonie, culminating in a very exciting two-up uphill sprint.
Two really good races today.

Cancellara has said he's aiming for the WC treble of the team TT, the individual TT and the road race. The TTT will take care of itself but he has played down his chances of the ITT and says he is focused on the road race.
Another name to consider for the ITT is Taylor Phinney. He's definitely got a decent chance..

Impressive team work keeping him in the mix it was good following them around. 60 people on bikes with about 30 of them police following the tour like a rolling road block all over the country All loving it. What a great atmosphere, even the old moaning git I spoke to had **** all to complain about as the roads were only shut for 10 mins as they passed! Moaning ****s in surrey!Go **** yourself

Nice one, Boogar.
Watching on telly, the crowds were amazing.
There are some people in Surrey who get a fair bit of coverage for their moaning about a few road closures a couple of days a year but the reaction to the Tour of Britain today indicates they're a tiny, if vocal, minority..

I was chatting to one of the guys who drive the support cars at the end and he was saying at the end of the season such as now they have to really watch the riders and monitor all their signs to watch for hyperthermia. They have lost so much body fat over the season the riders become very susceptible to it.
Did anyone watch them in London today?Go **** yourself
