As soon as it effectively became a T20 game then we were always going to be on the back foot.

Having said that it was going quite nicely until Morgan and Bopara went quickly.

India were the best team in the competition and deserved to win.

I thought England had it the bag up until Morgan's dismissal.
Imo India's batting recovery when they were struggling was the key though, they put a few runs on the board and had the spinners to back it up.

India were the best and deservedly won.

Bet Buttler and Co are a bit gutted they were celebrating after the India innings. Never underestimate Dhoni in short formats of the game. His captaincy is brilliant. Will go down as one of our best Captains ever. Has done it all. Won all trophies and taken team to No.1 in Test Rankings

India definitely the best team throughout. Just feel the final totally undermines the whole tournament by completely changing the format. It's not a T20 tournament yet they won a T20 final. Ridiculous. To not have a spare day for the final is completely ridiculous.

From England's POV, though - or at least from mine as a fan who has no time for ODI nonsense - this is all meaningless. It's all about the Ashes.

Nah - On par its was pretty much equal, both sides not quite at it - Not sure how Bell was dismissed given the replays and that may have been crucial late on.

On Dhoni though, if Morgan had stayed you'd be throwing bricks at him for not bringing on Ashwin earlier
