She's just someone's mum supporting her son. I got the impression people disliked her because she was prtrayed as the pushy mother type by the press. So what if she was, look where its got him. Without her determination backing him, he might have been a middling player or just been missed by british tennis altogether.

Yes Durham talks a load of rubbish and it was ridiculous that he kept referring to her as Loser Robson. But, she is 19 and I might be wrong, but haven't a lot of female tennis players in the past won Slams at a younger age. And don't some of them start to tail off around 24 or 25?

The way he was putting his point across was stupid, but there was a valid point in there. Not sure if it's true but he or Gough said that her last coach split with her because he said she wasn't willing to go the extra mile in training. She has probably received a hell of a lot of support and funding, but she just appears in awe of the occasion really and keeps coming out with "Ah it was a great experience".

She's 19 and has reached the 4th round of Wimbledon, she has done really well IMO and will only continue to get better.

Any criticism of her is frankly ridiculous at this point in her career.

But by the time Hingis was 19, she had won 5 Slams, one her first one aged 16.

Hingis was a freak though, the likes of her are the exceptions to the rule.

But Serena won first at 18 I believe. Didn't Sharapova win pretty young too and Graf?

Like I said, "the likes of" Hingis. They are all-time greats. They also come from places where tennis coaching is of a very high standard. Our facilities, coaching etc are abysmal. I think Robson is doing great.
