I don't think it's that recent. It's seemed like he has had the will to do it for ages, even when he wasn't as good as he is now (which is why he didn't always turn it round). It's long been a big difference from Henman, it's been clear for years now..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Weak and lilly-livered. If he plays like this in the final Novak will piss all over him.
I like that.Originally posted by Neil Young View Post

Agree but he'll pick up - everyone is entitled to a stinker in a Slam. He wasn't great the round before either but surely he'll play better now.Originally posted by captainfog View PostMurray was garbage yesterday. On that form he has no chance of winning the tournamentThanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He didn't play as well as he has been. However Verdasco was hitting the ball massive, his forehand was booming - his serve was booming. Murray seemed to be totally up against it, I thought it could go either way right up until the last break, he hung in there and took his chance.
I wonder if he had paid too much attention to the fact that Verdasco was a lefty?
The worrying signs for me were that he totally lost his cool, it was Andy Murray pre Olympics and Grand Slam win. That said, he is through to a semi final he should win. And then most likely Novak. At least he knows what to expect there.
It was totally nerve wracking though. I could barely stand to watch some points

I actually missed the first 2 sets.
He was hitting it hard, and swinging his first serves out so wide in the fifth set, I assumed he'd been playing well earlier. I personally thought the way Murray hung in and out thought Verdasco in the 5th was brilliant. I thought he was going to lose because he was serving second. I just *hope* he gives up on the whinging.Modifying post.

Really? I found his brand of tennis utterly boring. Hit ace after ace after ace and win the tournament. Wasn't he involved in one of the most boring finals at Wimbledon ever against Courier?Originally posted by Baracus View PostI find Murrays 2nd Serve Annoying for a top class tennis player goes from 125mph 1st Serve to sometimes 79mph...boom it lad..Miss the Pete Sampras era and those players in that era boom 2nd Serve
