Northants won it in style on the end.
37 for Essex in the last two overs of the semi looked like they could have just about amassed an unbeatable target but Northants kept their wickets and kept the runs ticking over. In the end with the wickets in hand they got their with about 10 balls and 7 wickets spare.
Then in the final they set a monster total of 194/2 from a reduced 18 over game. Surrey couldn't get close. Net effort today 365/5 from 35.1
