Stokes stretched bat over throws was the flukiest thing I've ever seen. Had it been the other way England would've been ridiculed for ever

Yeah, no arguments over that, clearly an accident but still how lucky did we get with that.

It's glorious listening to the Aussies bleat.... Shane Warne with his - ‘England didn’t win it - it was still a draw’

          This was an incredible moment.....

I'm amazed the value of our win hasn't been chiseled away already

Fuss brewing that the batsmen hadn't crossed when the fielder threw the ball that resulted in the 4 overthrow, therefore only having run 1+4 instead of 2+4. England's victory was even more fortuitous

I don't care what colour their skin is, its completely irrelevant this day and age. I mean actually born in England or at least raised from an early age. Not come over from an English colony at the age of 19 and then conveniently discovered to have a claim to an English passport whilst playing county cricket a year later like a certain Jofra Archer. He should be playing for the Windies, **** knows they need him!

You don't see that happen anywhere near as much in football do you. Takes quite a few years to become naturalised and then be able to play for the national team.
My point is just that if I 'put my Harv hat on' and try desperately to make as few of them qualify as English, that's the sort of bull**** you need to start applying and even then you don't get down to four. You're nowhere near.

By your criteria these are all presumably beyond reproach:
Jason Roy - moved here when 10
Jonny Bairstow - born in Bradford
Joe Root - born in Sheffield
Ben Stokes - moved here when 12
Jos Buttler - born in Taunton
Chris Woakes - born in Birmingham
Liam Plunkett - born in Nunthorpe
Adil Rashid - born in Bradford
Mark Wood - born in Ashington

It's not difficult to see my point. To get to only four being 'actually English' you need to chuck out the browns and the immigrants and you're still left scratching your head. Can we exclude names that sound potentially foreign as well, for instance Jos Buttler as opposed to Josh Butler

Morgan's mum is English and he's had a British passport since birth. He's as eligible to play for England than anyone else

That leaves, what, one of the eleven to quibble with?

If that's the case then I'm afraid I've run out of ethnic microaggressions to get us down to the four.
