I watched the start of Roots innings and he looked in good touch. Raced to 20 at about a run a ball.

I think that's the top 6 settled, but I don't think England know their bowling lineup yet. It'll all come down to the last warm up game.

Prior looking a doubt for the first test with a calf problem.

Huge boost to the Aussies if Bairstow has to play.

Yep Prior would be a massive miss. Nightmare really. Also like their squad. Mitchell Johnson anywhere near his best will be their most threatening and destructive bowler.

I'm still very confident. The Aussies batting line up is **** and ours is in good form. They've got some good bowlers but most them are injured, and as for Mitch? He's not played well with the red ball for a long time.

                  Lets smash them

I loath Lehman. Hope he is humiliated and sacked.

Yes and no, yes he is hugely influential and when on form he's the best in the world, but he offered nothing with the bat last summer and had a very average time of it with the gloves.... and we still won 3 nil. Bairstow will easily be able to match Priors recent form.

He'll be the match winner in my opinion, He'll be up for it, its just if he can channel it correctly.

Bailey is another good pick - Me thinks England might struggle this winter.
I make no apologies, this is me

Bailey's record in red ball cricket is poor to say the least. Only recently in a domestic game he got completely worked over by Ryan Harris and made to look a complete amateur.

As for Johnson, well, yes he is dangerous, but for every dangerous player they have, we have 2 or 3. We are massive favourites.

It's become a (personal) tradition for me now to get drunk on Christmas Day and watch the Boxing Day test start off at 11pm.
                            *Except Michael, who died.

Like you I will have all the intentions to stay up but it will go on its arse after the first half an hour.

Realistically the weekends will by my only chance until xmas.

Wanted to get a few mates together to watch a full nights play but that is proving to be a non starter.

Christmas Day test will certainly see me trying to stay up, no doubt I'll fail miserably.
