It's green. Green pitches are notorious, and largely a thing of the past. It's tantamount to a death wicket. Fearsome pace and bounce, a batsman's deathtrap...i.e. great for Australia. Again.

        To quote George Dobell

Mills got 6 championship wickets last season. Six. That's one every month. If England think he is the answer to our problems then god help us.

I'm ****ing with you though Shaggy, throw the dice and get him in.

It'll be cut and rolled to **** before the match. It'll be still be lively, but not as green as that.

This surface should also suit our bowlers. Lets not forget Australia have a very fragile batting line up too and if we hit our lines and take our catches then there is no reason why we can't bowl them out for a low score. Then it's over to our batsmen... oh...

One crumb of comfort, Mitch only got someone in our top 5 out once in the last test match. A bit of application and there is no reason why we can't post a half decent score.

Less comforting is the fact we always lose in 2.5 days in Perth. I think we might have lost every single time there since the early 90's, maybe even longer and not won since we beat an Australia second string when Packer was doing his World Series thing.

In 5 days it's going to be 3-0 isn't it

Whoever wins the toss will win the match. Sad and ridiculous state of affairs but that's what it comes down to.

The last 7 Ashes Test have been won or dominated (and thwarted by weather) by the team who won the toss. All five in England - the 3 matches we won we won the toss, and for the two weather affected draws both bossed by Australia, they won the toss. Two in Oz so far - Australia won the toss and won both matches.

You have to go back to the 2010-11 series and the 5th Test in Sydney. Australia won the toss but England won the match.

Clarke is such a cunt. "I think they'll pick a proper batsman at 6"

                  What a cunt.

Yeah, never needed much sleep. I'm a machine.

Can't wait for this. Biggest test for years I think.
