Cant play at home, but it doesnt seem to matter eh!

What are they like as a side now? After that tour of England when half the team seemed to get banned for match/spot fixing I stopped paying attention to them.

They're developing into a super Test side.

Pakistan are just the same old team, absolute genius one minute and worse than a Sunday pub team the next. There will always be corrupt elements, internal and external, but one thing is certain they can guarantee an exciting game every single time.

Misbah Ul-Haq is 40 years old and still playing hahaha, and he just got the quickest test century off 56 balls (this after being labelled "tuk tuk" by Pakistani fans for his unbelievably slow and boring batting style! ).

A few new names in the team but I have also lost touch tbh. Sad that there are now a generation of people in Pakistan who have never seen the team play at home.

I don't know who half of that team is but it's a great result. Aren't they unbeaten in the UAE?

Don't know about that but it is a real shame they cannot play home matches (although totally understandable). Cannot wait to see how they do in the WC.

Looking at the score cards is interesting because Pakistan have ground out their first innings totals. The batsmen's strike rates are all around 55 ish and the Australian front line seamers have all been very economical. The smacked Lyon and the part timers around a bit, but nothing outrageous. We will need to show the same application when we play Australia in the Summer.

I'm getting bored of playing Australia. Too many Ashes ffs.

Goes back to a normal rotation after this summer doesnt it?

It is a bit much. 15 tests in 30 months.

                    Just did a quick calculation.

It was potentially 8.3% of their lives over that 30 month period would have been spent playing each other

They aren't, just had a look on cricinfo. Since 02 they've played 19 tests there, won 10, lost 4 and drawn 5. That is a very good record for any team. Sri Lanka beat them this year, South Africa last and Australia in 2002.

I know it's to be expected but Pakistan just belted New Zealand in Abu Dabi during the first test. They seem unstoppable at present.

He beat Sri Lanka's score on his own

Phil Hughes in a bad way after getting hit on the head whilst batting.

Had to have emergency surgery in hospital.
