Yep, think it is the right thing now. Test Cricket is different to 5 years ago and we are in danger of being left behind there.
The changes made to the limited overs game has seemed to provoke the right reaction from the team. So lets see it in the Test side. The time gives the new captain (I assume Root) the time to get bedded in before the Ashes this Winter.
I hope he carries on as an opener, because I think he is one of the best batsmen this country has ever produced.*Except Michael, who died.Comment
